Policies for summer school students
Dress Code
We expect for all students to come to school dressed for success. Appropriate dress includes , but is not limited to:
- Collared shirts
- Skirts (at knee length)
- Dresses (hem must past the fingertips)
- Slacks
- Sweaters, blouses, knit tops, jackets
- Coordinated dress shorts
- Sweatshirts and t-shirts with school-related insignia
- Jeans without tears, rips, or holes
Discipline
A student who commits an act of misconduct will be given a consequence according to the Summer Academy Progressive Discipline Matrix. Offenses range from absences and academic dishonesty to fighting and theft. Depending on the severity of the offense, consequences will be delegated accordingly.
The following discipline actions are appropriate actions that can be taken by the Assistant Administrator with involvement of the Administrator:
- One-on-one counsel with the Assistant Administrator
- Written notice or verbal notice to parent
- Denied participation for a limited time in class where infraction was committed or change class setting
The following discipline actions are appropriate actions that can be taken by an Administrator:
- One-on-one counsel with the Assistant Administrator
- Written notice or verbal notice to parent
- Denied participation for a limited time in class where infraction was committed or change class setting
- Dismissal from Summer Academy
